What servo horns are you running with the 8717's?

Any pics?

Thanks,

Jody J.

Thanks for the pics. How well do they center? How much subtrim if any are you using?

I use the JR heavy duty arms on mine. With a little adjustment to the rod length I am able to get the swash centered with 0 sub trim. The arms are double so you have two positions to choose from. Test fit the arm and use the side that is closer to the exact center and cut the other off. I only run the plastic arms because they break in a crash saving damage to the 8717.

JR heavy duty, and tec is right about not having any sub trim.

Dubro

I use Dubro. They required little to no subtrim and are very strong. Used them for years. Hole spacing was perfect too.

Yep, I use the Dubro arms as well - they're a perfect fit. They'll break in a crash, but I would much rather them break than damage the servo. I wouldn't use metal arms for that reason - though they do look nice.

Thanks for everyone's replies

BartB, that looks pretty cool. Please post some pics when you get them installed.

Is there a thing as too much subtrim? Should I stay within a certain amount?

Thanks!
