Well I got my elevator a-arm's today and here is the first one installed.

So simple to do, just like the 700N. So there is really no need to describe it.

And this is how it looks, sorry about the quality - indoors with flash.

Nice, are the parts from the 700 or made specifically for the 600?

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Align recently released the A-Arms for the 600, that's what I'm using.

As to flight terms, no differences yet. To my mind it's just a bit of bling. It does make the canopy line cleaner though

What is the part number and or where did you get it? I've looked on the align site and a couple online stores but can't find it.

Are these only going to be out in Black & Blue ? I cant find the part # for the green. What about all the 600n owners with the green metal head?

Did you have to adjust the lengths of the links to the servo?

I got a helicopter for my girlfriend,
It was a good trade!

Nope, the lengths of the servo rods should be exactly the same. Only had to reset swash, which is to be expected. Unless your links were exactly the same length as the new a-arm!

Aint that a blip. I guess I'll be adding yet another item to my wishlist. It is a bummer too because I just upgraded my 600 E and replaced the Arms with metals including the elevator arm.

I was just getting ready to do all the upgrades when I heard about this... So I put it off until this morning. Just ordered everything

A Arm, Aileron levers, new swash and washout.....

Just in time for the long weekend

You think your kids are expensive now?

Just wait until they move out!!

Awesome. Please let us know how set-up goes. And the quality. I am already thinking about getting them for my 600's. It would look much cleaner without that anti-rotation bracket.

Well I posted that setup was easy in my first post!!

But if you want it in detail:

Assembly is just a case of thread locking the bolt through the arm and attaching the link. Then thread lock the two screws to attach it to the control lever.

Attach the balls to the control lever (thread lock!) and then remove the old arm and control shaft.

It's then a case of inserting the new control shaft the new lever assembly and tightening up. I left the original ball on the swash and installed the AR bracket. This allowed me to line up the a-arm correctly. I then thread locked the grub screw to the shaft, remove the AR bracket and elevator ball and installed the new ball on the swash.

Obviously when it's done, re-centre the servos and level the swash.

The swash will always be at the correct height with the elevator servo centred, just requiring alterations on the two rear links to set the swash level.

Quality is fine and flight performance is no different. It does, as I said, provide for a cleaner look.
