| You can use the following parts of the animal: ENTRAILS: heart, liver and kidney can be eaten, though discard any that are discoloured. BLOOD: a good base for soups, full of vitamins and minerals FAT: good for making soups SKIN: can be used as leather for clothing TENDON and LIGAMENTS: can be used for lashings BONE MARROW: a rich food source BONES: can be used for making tools and weapons.
Check for lymph glands (in the cheek). IF they are large and discoloured, the animal is ill. Animals that are distorted or discoloured about the head are diseased, their meat should be boiled thoroughly. Cover any cut and sore in your skin when preparing deseaed animals
