Since I'm on the road working these are the only pics I have (from last winter, the center bolts are not used anymore and the wiring has been cleaned up). Plus it makes traveling much easier.

You are missing the big picture here. We didn't design a Pano mount to work just on a Joker or any other electric heli it works on the GSR or and other gas heli also.

It's designed to work with any gas or electric out there over a 50 size heli.

I'm sure what you have works fine. The goal with the Spherical Pro1 was Durable/Reliable/Work with gas or electric heli's/User friendly on the job and last adjust for almost any camera out there.

We kept the unit light enough to work with electric's but heavy enough to hold up to gassers.

If you wonder why you would use a gas heli? You can shoot spherical's in 15mph winds with a GSR or gasser without any problems where a light machine would be moving all around. Just like the boat I just shot I had a day to shoot it and couldn't have done it with an electric. This lets me shoot when I need to not when it's nice out.

Looks good to me...I use the miniPro now for spheres but I need to set up a dedicated mount. When are they shipping?

It just stuck me as funny the guy blowing smoke about a great home made mount is trying to buy a used/crashed/chopped Mini Pro1 for $195.00.

From what I can see the mods DJ has made to your minipro seem to be an improvement over those you offer on your $599 mount. So $195 for a modified MiniPro isn't too bad at all.

All I was trying to say was that $599 is a lot of $ to spend on something so simple.

Cheers,
Griffo

The mounts started shipping today. I would say 1-3 days after the order it would ship.

John, what makes you think I was PM'ing about your mount? Your assumptions astound me.

Sorry a guy places an ad for a chopped/stripped/crashed mini pro1 for $195.00 and you Post PM sent. I would think you would be trying to buy it or you would have just pm'ed him? I don't post PM sent every time I send a guy a PM? You must?

My mistake.

Thanks
John

That's ok John. I'll post you a photo when I have my new mount hooked up .

I just think you're in the wrong price bracket with this one.

FYI for $599.00 you can open the box and pay for the mount with one Spherical? What is your time worth? The people we sell to want to make money from day one with no problems. That's what we sell a product tested/proven and ready to go.

It's really that simple.

So you are saying that because people can charge high $ amounts means that you can charge them similar high $ amounts for a mount that really isn't all that high tech and could be built for A LOT LESS?

Just checked the orders and we are about 3 days out on shipping once the order is placed.

On the camera PM's. We shoot with the Cannon XSI and a Sigma 10mm full frame fisheye lens set on a 4 second rotation at 1/1600.
It is what you see in the pictures. 3.5 pics per second.

Hope this helps.

It's not so much the price, but the incredible build up of anticipation for an "L" bracket with holes drilled in it. I was hoping for something a little more polished.

Maybe handle a camera that is not just fisheye equipped?

But if it does the stated job, then good on ya'. Does open the door for a little competition I suspect??

Working on it. The mount has been done for some time but we just added an upgrade to the unit or an option I guess you would say. We are shooting a concert on Saturday but hope to have everything posted by the end of next week.
I'm not the IT guy here but it should all be in his hands then.

The Solo shooter
The Spherical pro1
The in door upgrade

I am unclear on what the indoor upgrade is, could you explain this?

Is this indoor upgrade the heli flying panos, or are you saying you can use this mount to take panos inside not mounted to the heli (i.e. ground based)?

Maybe you put the L bracket on a stick and rotate...

I thought shooting indoor means slower pan speed, done by changing the ATV of the pan channel. What has that got to do with the mount?

I still don't know what practical application there is to shooting indoor. The building will have to be pretty large, such as an arena or something.

Actually Pat it doesn't. The inside of condo's as hot spots or dealerships/Stores/malls. We are shooting the outside of a new Sam's this week then shooting two inside spherical's of the store. Yes that one is large. Then we are shooting outdoor world from the inside then outside. Shooting a water park on Saturday with two indoor parts for hot spots.

This mounts to the top of the camera mount and lets you just change the sub trim so you get about any rotation speed you want. Then just walk behind the camera firing when you want to.

The problem is we have to machine this part to within 2 thousands. We are using it but the cost is to high to market so Roger is looking at a new way of making the part to keep the price down.

It's used in reverse. The top rotating now is what the camera is mounted to with 3 different size adjustable poles to use from a 7ft ceiling to a 20ft indoors.

This wasn't my first design that I thought we were going to manufacture. The original just lowered the camera with an actuator then would rotate only that. It tested good for about a month then an actuator failed. Problem now was go to a heavier actuator and complicate the unit even more? This while at the same time this unit now on the market was being tested and worked perfect 100% of the time, while adjusting to almost any heli or camera. This was my choice.

Hope that helps a little.

Yes a tube with adjustable holes and rubber dampeners and a L bracket with side to side and up and down adjustable holes and rubber dampener material is a part of the mount.

It looks as if you only shoot from a pole? I think you are just starting BS and trolling but if not and really want to try this you will find it will work with almost any heli on the market. If you want the bracket in the shape of a Z we can do that if it makes you feel better? We just manufacture what works.

Hope that helps.

Sorry John but I'm still not sure you have anything here that can't be accomplished with a simple homemade mount .

I am thinking of selling a pano mount as well. It is a pretty unique design, groundbreaking you could say. It is lighter than any mount on the market, and extremely durable in the event of a crash.

I simply tied my DSLR to a piece of twine that hangs under the helicopter, it spins as you hold down the shutter release. I'll be taking orders soon, it will sell for $499.
