Hi All,

Looking for some help. I currently have a raptor 30 which runs really well. I am going to get a .50 size heli and can't decide between the Raptor, Sceadu, or the Fury. If any of you pilots have a combination of these helis, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks,
Sparky

The Raptor and the Sceadu are 30 size machines outfitted with a 50 engine, aking their power-to-weight ratio will rival any 60 machine. The Fury 50 is a 60 machine that has a 50 in it, so not as powerful as the 50 machines made from 30s.
I had a Raptor 30 before, and now a happy Sceadu 50 flier. I really like the Sceadu, just like SENECA said, I think it's more solid.
Good luck with your decision!

Voyager 50

The Voyager 50 AKA the "mini vigor" supposed to be a scaled down version of the vigor kinda like the sceadu is a miniature freya Too new to have any info on its capabilities. It is currently available (though backoredered ) in the US thru Horizon

Europe and Asia have had the Voyagers for quite awhile so I can tell you our experiences.

In our field, we have 5 Voyager 50s, 2 of them with JR IMZ50s.

Pros:

It's very rigid and tracks straighter than Skiddy or R50. The rotorhead is like the Vigor, but with some bushings (easily fixed). The eCCPM implementation is the best I've seen with 3 rods directly connected from the servo to the swashplate (unlike the CS which still uses bellcranks.

Cons:

Parts are expensive compared to others. The engine mount tends to crack the sideframe since it's not bolted to the bottom frame (unlike the Vigor). No LSD out of the box. Spindly landing gear. Fuel tank is small for a thirsty 50 size engine.

50 size heli

May I suggest that you check out the Century Falcon SE V2 for only $400.00

Check out what other flyers are saying about them on:
www.rchelicopters.org
and on the rec.models.rc.helicopters newsgroup etc.
check out the spreadsheet comparison charts on:
www.nitroburner.com

It has all the required features that make it fly and last like bigger 60 size SE heli's.
1 - comes with 600mm FRP blades
2 - comes with a full metal swashplate
3 - comes with a HD 6mm feathering spindle
4 - comes with a slipper clutch
5 - comes with a carbon fiber torque tube drive
6 - comes with a tail rotor with two radial and one thrust bearing in each blade grip
7 - comes with heavy duty landing gear
8 - comes with bearings to support every moving part
9 - comes with a great rotor head - a miniature copy of that used on the X-Cell and other such SE type 60's.
10 - only weighs a about 6 3/4 pounds so it has a great power to weight ratio for aerobatics and a lighter disc loading then most 60's so it autos beatifully.

Unfortunately at a cost of only $400.00 a lot of us did not take it too seriously until we started flying them.
