Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N TRex 700 vs other 90's

Hi Guys

I have read many 'wow' reviews about the TRex700.

They are mainly from TRex600 'upgraded' pilots. I expect the 700 to be bigger, better, faster, more powerful, etc etc than a 600.

At our local club, there is only one 700 owner who can do it justice and whenever he flies it looks good.... but when he flies it back to back with his Synergy, the Trex700 looks more passive and "old granny'ish" compared the Synergy.

I am not trying to bash the 700, just compare to other 90's and to put the 700 in its place.... whatever it may be!!!! Top dog or not.

I dunno, Mine is crazy quick and crazy agressive. It's all in the setup and equipment, you have to understand that. i've seen 700 flights that seem really sluggish, and some that are blistering quick. I can say the same for the synergy. All depends on the setup and motor tuning. I am in love with mine, tracks so well and is so fast and agressive and my motor is so ritch! You really can not beat performance like that at a crash cost point close to that of a 50. Thats not to say that the Synergy is not nice because it is, probably overall better than the 700. But it's the combination of the cost, parts availability and ofcourse good performance that sells the 700 for me. If this is your first 90, 700 hands down. I dont just say this out of a whim, I say this from experience.

I have a very agrssive set up raptor 90 to compare. here is my review of the maiden flight.

Hi glfloat

Very fair comments.

The pilot i am referring to is very capable and knows how to setup a heli. He has countless sets of blades, paddles, etc to try and knows what to look for. I am not saying his 700 flies badly, just the Synergy appears more aggressive.

It would not be my fist 90.....I have had an XCell Tempest 3d, 2x Tempest FAI, Hirobo Evo90, 2x EX2 and a Synergy. The Synergy is the only 90 i have at the moment. I love it, it just needs a friend.

The TRex craze is taking over the world and the attraction of the price, parts availability and good flying is something to take note of....

Have you talked with him, and asked what his thoughts are on the 700 compared to his N9?
I think that would be the first thing I would do.

Hi JeepCJ

I have seen him fly the 700 about 3 or 4 times, and i was assuming it was just the 'normal' new heli breakin/setup phase and was looking forward to a hard core 700 demo soon.

I have not seen him fly in a few weeks. I have been on leave...to escape the Dubai heat....and working quite hard. My Heli mates told me yesterday that the 700 is still 'soft' compared to his Synergy, despite some setup changes and a well run in motor.

I still need to watch him fly and speak to him.

I was just curious if this had been seen/felt by others.

I have been watching the 700 also, I might make the jump to a 90 because of it. A FF this weekend will be the first chance for me to see them fly in person. Looking foward to it.

I have a Stratus and now a 700. The 700 is much more aggressive. My Stratus is not a BW Stratus but with similar cyclic and collective pitch, the 700 feels lighter in the air and is more responsive. The Stratus feels slower in the air. Both fly well but at the crash cost, the 700 is my new favorite nitro heli. Too bad 600N.

I flew mine this weekend, engine was already broken it and I was slamming it from the get go and it took all I could throw at it. It was so much fun to fly and I hadn't had a smile on my face like that in a long time.
