Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N Anyone else have swash bearing dust cover come off

Third flight. Did not notice anything wrong with flight, but when I landed I noticed a little ring on bearing block. I had the same thing happen on my 500. Anyone else have this problem? I don't think it has anything do do with the structure but want to make sure before I fly it. I guess I should email Align and get a new one.

Yep, I had it fall out on my 10th flight. Pushed it back into place and I haven't had it come out again, I'd guess I have 70 flights on the heli now.

Personally I am underwhelmed with Align's bearing quality. When ever I can I choose to replace high load areas with Boca Bearings. But I don't believe the swash bearing(s) can be replaced.

If you can afford it, upgrade the swash to the QuickUK one. Its under 100, (order from QuickUK if you like) and it will actually allow greater collective range PLUS its geometrically better designed, less interaction.

I think it was about 84 bucks for mine.

MUCH higher quality.

Funny you should mention it. Mine came off after my 3rd flight too. I pushed it back in and it came off during the 5th flight.

I'm getting a replacement swash just in case. Sounds like a bad batch of bearings. But it didn't affect the flight. My 700 was flying so awesome this weekend before I voluntarily grounded it, just in case.

Swashplate Ring?

First flight for me today. I put it back in but came right back off the next three flights. I called my LHS where I purchased it for a RMA from the Align rep, no answer yet.

It has to be a bad bearing batch, machining must have a flaw in it. It appears to be the bearing dust ring cover that should not be a removable part.

I got too much of Natural HIGH flying this T700 today that I can't wait to fly it again.

Man! I'm twitching my fingers now just thinking about the next flight, It's by far a bigger BUZZ! than my T600.

I wonder if it would hurt or come apart if I keep flying till the new part comes in? Do you think there is any risk? Or should I just ground it?

Mine kept falling off , so I cut it off , point less changing the bearing as it will just happen again .

Mine has no slop and done around 8 gallon , every now and then though I tip her upside down and drip a drop of oil in the bearing.

Mine fell out after the second flight. I pushed it back in place and it has stayed put after about 20 to 25 flights so far.

Anyone else have this problem?

I rushed here to post what I thought was a new problem. Everybody beat me to it.

I think it is on 7th (or about 40 flights) gallon when I noticed the dust cover hanging while cleaning at the end of the day. Well the good thing is that I don't have to take the picture of the problem as everyone is already aware of this.

It happened on the 3rd flight for me. Typical Align crap but soon real manufactures like Quick UK will come out with replacement parts. The pros with Align products are that the heli will fly great and a lot of manufacturers will make upgrades. The cons are you have to replace half the parts to keep it in the air. Once it's done, it's a keeper.

I have been flying without mine (I cut it off). Does anybody know what the harm is? I just need it to work until Quick UK comes out with the replacement.

It holds , the grease in but I think its the pressure from the grease which pops it .

I cut mine off along time ago , no problem but drop alittle oil into the bearing every now and then , helps to turn bird upside down.

Swashplate Ring

Getting back with my RMA results. I was told from my LHS that there is no fix at this time and will not take mine untill Align has a revised part number for it. In the meantime I am to use it and will see. Hummmm..not sure who is right or wrong or not telling me the whole story.

Anyway I've popped in the ring back in and has not come off in two gallons as of now. This is one bad ass machine.
