Hey guys. I'm new to RC helicopters and also to electric flight. I bought a used and very much modified. I've been hovering for a couple of weeks and the other day I started flying a traffic pattern. What scares me is that every now and then, I'll hear the motor cut out for a split second. Just enough to hear it and make the tail jump. When I bring it in for a hover, it seems fine. But when flying around, it was starting to do it more and more. I then changed the battery out for a fresh one and it was doing the same.

I have a freshly charged Dx6i.

I just checked all the wires and everything seems fine.

Any ideas on what to check?

Thanks,
Steve

99.9% sure if you search the align section of this forum for "Static" and you will find what you need to do.

Basically, ground the boom to the motor mount is easiest modification to do.

Pretty sure your "glitching" is due to static discharge building up in the heli, T500 is very prone to this.
