Well, if you look at who puts their money where their mouth is....The clear winner is McCain.

2007: 118,660.00 27.3% of his income

Obama
2006: 60,307.00 6.1% of his income
2007: 240,370.00 5.8% of his income

Obama gave around 1% till he decided to run for President...Even then he still gave less of a % than McCain.

And living on $1.00 per month. Thats $12.00 per year.

Seems Obama could have sent the poor slob $100.00. Just that small amount, once in a while, would have made his own brother almost a rich man.

No. After read Obama's website it is pretty clear that Obama does not really want to control spending. It is not that I disagree with some of Obama's positions....It is the 'fix' he plans to attempt.

Seriously, read his plans...They almost all involve some infusion of tax payer money. I like the idea of reducing spending, not increasing it.

But the point of this piece is that while some claim McCain does not care about the needy, and that only Obama does is to show that between the two only one has given a larger percent to charity consistently.

Her tax records are not public record. So, neither you nor I know that information. But SHE is not running for office. They have had separate finances since they were married.

The point is that some want to claim that McCain does not care about the needy and only Obama does. But the tax records show quite the opposite. They show that McCain has a history of 20% + donations while Obama has a history of < 5%.

Not really, the McCain family will beat the Obama family hands down... Cindy McCain founded the American Voluntary Medical Team in 1988 and donated tens of millions of dollars to supply medical treatment and food to poor and sick children around the world.

As a matter of fact, The McCain's have donated more in the last 20 years than the Obama's have even earned.
