Just really to post a few pics of my latest flybarless project. The Align 700n (FBS).

Will report on how it goes, but if the 600n, and vibe are anything to go by then this thing will rock.

Looks great, lowered main mast etc

Hi Cam

What head is that?
It looks like the Bonta head fore the Synergy?
Have you had a chance to fly it??
I have a Vbar that is waiting to get a new home, and i wouldt like to try Vbar on my 700.

Regards
Klaus

Hi Guys,

Yep it is the Tyler Bonta Synergy Head.

After been a Synergy Fan, I figured that why not put a Synergy head on it and that way I get the best of both worlds. Spares from my local model shop for the heli but performance of the Synergy out of the head.

So far it isn't disappointing, this thing is smoooooth and the tail is very very good and locked in.

V-bar I feel is the only way to go with super support. This is now my 4th so that says it all.

Maj,
Is that head a drop in replacement or did you have to mod the main shaft?

Thanks

That head is just so nice, wonder if MR Bonta should have one more head for sale?
I wash thinking about using the original head from my synergy, on my 700.
I have modified the Hyperformance grips so they work with vbar, with about 62mm between the balls on the grips.
Would be great if Align comes out with their own flybarless head for the 700.
How dos it fly?
Could you please post your Vbar setup file??

I had to mod the main shaft. I wanted to do that anyway as I thought the head was too tall looking for the profile of the helicopter.

The head is the highest quality I have seen and super smooth.

Only really hover tested in the garden so far but its super smooth and lovely cyclic and tail feel.

Align will prob do a flybarless at some point but If I hadn't used the Bonta I would have used the Kasama unit due out next month.

As for V-bar file will post when I know it works in all phases of flight.

Saw at IRCHA the Mikado 700N flybarless head, so don't have to wait .
Basically you remove the flybar and carrier and you install the special alu arms on the main grips. All else is stock parts.

Fly non-stop till your brain fizzles !

It's nice that there will be so much choice for everyone needs in the flybarless market. Pay your money and take your choice.

Everyone at my field today really appreciated the finish, design and artwork of this head.

I trimmed it out today and pushed it with some mild 3D in Classic mode and boy it tracks well. Need to sharpen up the Aileron/Elev as its a bit mild but the CP only allows 100 Bell as Inkspot has pointed out needs an ammendment and soon.

Hi

Now my 700 i also flybarless, i used the head from my synergy/hyperformance grips.
It works really well, way more agile with vbar.
The only thing i would like is, a little more cyclic speed
I will post my setup later, maybe some of you with more vbar experience would take a look and see if this look okay.

Flips like a T-rex, Tracks like a Synergy!

Well I have around 5 litres through the heli in the flybarless setup. As expected it is very, very good.

By that I mean it is locked in and does what you command it to do. Very punchy, very crisp and handles external forces (wind) supremely. You can tell how good this is not by thrashing it around but by demonstrating a constant height traveling piro simply outstanding.

It will 3D on 20% Nitro with ease and no bogging (using Optifuel).

The Control Panel aids the time in which you can get it setup. Ultra mode is great for the AOF then I go back to Expert and ramp up some other figures to get it how I like it.

Have I found a model to retire from Synergy's, Oh Yeah!!

May get some more pics up soon.
