If anyone is using a 9c and a 401 gyro, can you look on your gyro gain page and tell me if the mix at the top of the page is set to inhibit or active? Not the revo mix but on the page where you adjust your gain.

You set it to active. This sets the GYRO mix to active.

If it set to inhibit it's the same as setting the gain to 100% in both rate and HH depending on the switch position.

You can check the difference by looking at channel 5 in the servo monitor.

That indeed would completely, absolutely explain why my tail was jacked up.

Thank you!

Make sure you have the channel 5 end points to 100/100

Then set the MIX to ACT (active)
Mode to GY
Rate UP is the gain on the up position of the selected switch, AVC50 will be 50 percent gain in heading hold. I'd start there and adjust to suit. Only run as much gain as you need, not as much as you can get w/o wag.

NOR 50 would be 50 percent gain in rate mode.

SWITCH selects the switch in use. Setting the switch to COND lets you pick the gain and mode according to the flight mode switch.
