Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > New Hyper O Rings

At IRCHA Jim Stark had on hand their new Hyper O Rings. They are two O rings molded as one and the hardness is 90 durometer, which is 5 less than the single rings made before. Jim said to run just enough shim to prevent play in the grips. I used either 0.5mm or 0.6 shim. I flew only a few flights with them on Saturday and with the Metal Hyper grips they flew very well. The heli responded quickly on cyclic and tracked well in the light wind doing piro flips. Much better than what I had been using before as my old O rings were worn out. I’d like to fly them in heavy winds to see how heli tracks but so far I like the new rings.

Now I just need to try the new tail grips.

Thanks Hyperdudes

Charles

That’s grease not lube Bart! IRCHA was 5 days a go. Still tired and can’t get out of bed? Nice:

I like the image, great advertisement. Send that pic to the hyperdudes and maybe they’ll use it when they post the new rings!

Hi i have just got a set of these new dampers and i was wondering what shims are people using on the stock blade grips?
I had a boom strike using the stock dampers with the medium shim and i don't want it to happen again.

Fly it like you stole it!

I just put the first flights the last couple of days on the new dampners. I have to say I love them. They give a VERY crisp response from the head, yet at low RPM there is no bobble. Set them up so there is no slop in the head, but no compression on them either. I took out one shim on each side verses running the stock dampners. I imagine you probally can't wear them out either as they are hard as a rock.

Best dampner out there. Period.
