has anybody tried a lipo battery in this radio yet. i have put a 2500ma lipo in my rd8000 it gives me little over 12 volts with a full charge. with no trouble was wondering if it will work in the rds8000 also seeing as i just ordered one. thanks dave

12 volts is fine in ATX stuff. I routinely use 3s lipos in my Stylus radios.

thanks Terry i was thinking it would be ok but figured i ask and see if anybody had tried it. i love it in my other rd8000 seeing as i work on the road alot it's nice to be able to just grab the radio and be able to go with just charging the heli batteries. dave
