Will 550mm blades work on the 5003d or does it have to be 500-525mm?

Nope no problems.550's are ok,but the 560's have the right mix. I even have some Curtis 95's on the back end I tested it doing some big 'ol slamin' tailslides at IRCHA no problems.

That is a big tail blade for basically a 30 size bird. That thing must stop on a dime!

I too use the RT 560's coupled with the 92mm cy tail blades. I also have the hard dampeners installed. I can bend the blades into the tail rotor if I really try. I haven't had any issues with this config though. I bang the heli pretty hard with 8717's and all seems fine. The RT blades are very stiff!

I'll chime in here also having great results with the 560s in combo with the 95mm CYs. Also have the 92 CYs that work just as well but I ended up leaving the 95s on for no other reason than I like the way they sound. Main concern is not dragging the tail on an auto with big tail blades.

You need to try 550 Mavrikk PRO G5 carbon blades and Radix 92mm on the tail. You will love it!
