hi
I am having a problem with my sceadu evo when i start the engine (os 50). i can feel at idle a vibration, it causes fuel foaming and could be feel in the skids. i want to know what could it be that is causing the vibration and how could i fix it. another thing is that i did not check the run out or balance the fan because i do not have the tools. thanks.

You must check runout. Check that your flybar paddles are spaced out evenly. Os hypers are known for the rear bearing to fail.

Unlikely to be the fan
Clutch run out and/or tune the idle screw

also check the clutch pinion where the bearing sits, if not loctited the pinion can spin inside the bearing and wears the pinion thus causing the clutch bell to run out and vibrate
engine bearings and idle mixture will need to be looked at as well

I have the same issue. Mine is so bad it will vibrate and move around on the tailgate of my truck. Have never found the issue...
Dial indicate, balance fan, new engine, new flywheel & fan. Completely baffled me as well. The vibration does go away when sped up though.

I've had the same thing on one of my Evos, even with everything balanced and the runout set. Most of it was cured with adjusting the idle needle, the rest went away as it spooled up. My Vibe does the same thing, balance and true everything, and adjust the idle mixture. If it still does it and smoothes out as the speed goes up, don't worry about it.

Forgive me guys I'm still building my Evo but what is run out and how can you adjust it? What are you guys using/doing to balance things like the clutchbell and fan?

Hit the search button, there are a lot of write ups on how to take care of run out. To balance, there's a bunch of different balancers out there, go to your local hobby shop and get a prop balancer, preferably not the magnetic kind. Those work well, but can't do heavier items.

Most use a dial indicator to check the runout.
