Chad, the current crop of fifties have a very good power to weight ratio, and there are some nice 600mm blades available. With a good muffler or pipe, a fifty is hard to beat, performance wise. A lot has to do with set-up also. Many of us run governors and cyclic to throttle mixing, aiding a good performing helicopter to perform better.

hello Coony

Undestand that the current stacked frame aluminum 50 size helicoptors have the weight of a 30 with the power of a 50.

That puts them in the same thrust to weight ratio as the 60 size helos with 80 & 90 engines. The main difference is the larger helo's are more visible.

I can't speake for the voyager, but take a raptor 50 with a OS 50 for example, without running a governor most are have to limit there throttle to 85 to 90% to keep the engines from running away with 600mm blades. horse power to spare.

Almost all of the 80 and 90 pilot are running governors to keep the engine under control.

I just converted my Ergo from a thunder tiger 46 to a OS-50 and installed the large tank mod, and it's pulling +12 to -12 with no bogg and climbs like a bullet. Also I beleive the voyager is lighter than my Ergo.

If I didn't already have five helicopters and was looking for another 50 the voyager would be on top of my list.

Hey Chad.....it must be the pilot!!

Seriously though my Voyager is a blast to fly. I am running +10,-10 and the OS 50 is running like a champ. I have been very happy with it and it is comparable in horsepower to the Fury/YS80 combo that my buddy in Jackson has. The one thing that both helis have in common is the CCPM control so maybe that has something to do with it. On another note though I thought after flying your Sceadu Sunday that it had a good feel to it as well. Maybe it just needs a little tweaking?
