Anyone had any stability issues or flight irregularities with this combination ?

Had to play around with which tape I was using to get it good, it was picky.
Ultra-mode made wonders for overall flight charactaristics.

Edit: Should add I run it on a MA Stratus

I never got my to work well with my stratus. so I gave up. I'll try again with my Trex 700 after someone comes up with a new Flybarless head for it.

Sounds like my XeroG balanced to perfection and with suitably placed Zeal tape should be OK with V-bar. Well at least it should do a better job than the 720s with all the associative clobber.

Yep,

Zeal tape is good, thats what I use, you might get occational "shudder" when stopping hard, if so try strapping down the gyro a bit tighter.

Did you get any precession errors with stiffer mounting ?

Too stiff yes, but its a balance between them, which one you need is depending on vibrations etc, thats why I say you have to play around with the tape to get it perfect.

What kind of vibes have you found the V-bar most sensitive to ?

Hard to say, but the one thing Ive noticed is rough running engine, dont know if its the vibes or the inconsistence of the vibes that really is the problem though.

Should point out that there is a "gyro-deadband" setting in the VBar, with it you can mask out some vibration-issues.

That's tricky to quantify. A dead band simply hides the inperfections - something I'm not a strong supporter of. Barring that, it would be interesting to do an analysis of the vibes resultant from the engine, clutch and TR.
Perhaps what I'm trying to identify is the resonant frequency bands to which the V-bar is sensitive.

I know what you mean, but considering before last firmware we where running deadband of 5-10 and with the latest you can even run 0, so Im not talking about very high values, perhaps it wont work on 3 but it will on 4.

Forgot one thing, on the MA Stratus running original fan vs running an aftermarket fan that dont need dialing made a difference... (Maryland Machine fan) so thats one vibration that made a difference.
