For those of you that have pics of their electonics placement that are not running 8 volts, can you post some pics?

Thanks
Derek

I am Ecuador, so no pics.

I put the gyro (770 3D) on the gyro shelf.

I put the Scott Gray ReactorX and R921 receiver on the lower tray near the front end. Wrapped in foam and Velcro.

MultiGov Pro is servo taped to the right side frame over the large hole.

A Flight Power EVOLite 2S 2500 is Velcroed to a piece of aircraft ply (will be switched for some G10) under the lower tray. Right now it is Gooped on, and a Velcro wrap goes around the tray and battery.

And I used a Trex 600 mixture servo mount, cut down, to mount a DS285 for mixture control in the cutout just forward of the fan shroud.

Maybe I can get some pics this weekend.

The thick, single stacked frames make a very solid main frame. The cooling system is first class. The tail control system is very solid, while allowing the rudder servo to reside safely in the front of the helicopter. The break away tabs allow cost effective replacement in a mishap without replacing the main frame halves. The main shaft is supported by 3 bearing blocks. The fuel tank is easy to service and is completely isolated from the frame, sitting on 4 rubber isolation dampeners.

The feeling strikes you as soon as you open the box. The manual that Horizon put together is easily the top of the class. The quality of the parts is amazing. My friend Tony commented that if he were to put the bearing blocks and head in a jewelry display case, they wouldn't appear out of place. There was no sanding, filing, or tinkering, to get things to fit properly; everything went together without binding or slop
.

This was taken from your web link BarracudaHockey, I must add, VERY nicely done!

Also a Nice job with your build and pics, and it was great meeting you last week at Ircha!

My only regret is I didn't get one of these babys sooner!

Anyone want a pet rabbit?.............I found him on the road dead and I'm tired of hugging him

Careful of getting gyro or radio to far forward as they can rub on the canopy and create a weird vibration noise in flight.

thanks. But I'm using a huge battery pack. I wish I had gotten flightpower with my 600NSP. I like to use the same type of battery in both helis.

Is it ok to mount the receiver on top of Reactor X? or does it heat up and might damage the receiver?

I've mounted the receiver on top of the Reactor X and it works good. When the heat sink isn't covered, there should be absolutely no problem IMHO.

you guys running your battery under the reciever tray dont feel the extra load on manouvers? I did. So I ended up with the reactor x in front, the Solid G controler behind it, The 921 reciever on top of the reactor, and the 4300ma flight power wedged in between. This got my CG closr to the boom and much better handeling of the heli. The ATG and CSM are taped to the right hand upper frame.

5 gallons and no problems.

Take off's are always optional, but landings are MANDITORY!

I am running a FlightPower EVOLite 2S 2500. So pretty light.

I have done 5 flights and still had plenty of capacity.
