Hi!

My friend crashed his Vigor Cs a couple of weeks ago (mine is still okay....so far )

Both main frames cracked and also the tank mounting frames.

I would like to know, whether anybody has the same experience, I mean: Is it quite normal, that the carbon main frames will be damaged in a crash??

Where exactly did he crack the frames? The Vigor carbon frames are very stiff. Chances are small that you would crack them in a regular crash. On the other hand there is a weak point on these frames. It is in the front by the throttle and rudder servos, this is where there is the least amount of Carbon fiber. I bought a crashed Vigor that had both frames broken. It was in a pretty hard crash. I would say if it doesnt hit nose in hard the frames should survive . (Yeah right)

Hi Guys!

Positive - both frames cracked in the front by the throttle and ruder servo!!

My friend lost total control (there must have been something wrong with the RX or TX!!) and we had to watch this bird several seconds speeding up and flying straight into ground at an angle of 30 degrees! He didnīt have the canopy on the Vigor and the impact was at a moderate speed....

We did build our Vigor CS using this little brass clamb, cause we have bought originally horizon versions. And we also sanded the frames and bottom plate in that area, where this brass part is sandwitched.

My friendīs radio crystal was bad, and that was the reason for the crash, we found out.

What about connecting the frames/bottom blade with a wire???
