Computer Flight Simulators > Realflight 3.5 and 4 are suddenly very slow

Everything has worked fine for years now and suddenly whenever i load up 3.5 or 4 versions the physics are EXTREMELY slow like i set the physics speed down to 20% or something but i of course havent.

Only thing i can think of which has changed since it last worked was that i installed a new game. Anyone ever had this happen and have a clue what would cause it?

I guess im the only one who has ever had their realflights suddenly start running in slow motion physics.

Did you change the graphics drivers for the new game ?
I would also download and run "Spybot Search and Destroy" and "Lavasoft Ad-Aware" .
If you are not on-line while you are using you sims , then I would try turning off your antivirus program , especially if it's a Norton resource hog antivirus .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

When's the last time you reinstalled windows?

Windows has a nasty habit of slowing down over time for no apparent reason. Easiest solution is to reinstall...

^ disagree...PEBCAK is usually the main reason why.

then common sense dictates to uninstall this game and chime back.

If using XP, once uninstalled you can "restore" system to the last time it saved itself prior to game installation.

This restore window also lets you know what has been installed since its first boot up...unless it was purged by operator.

thanks for the ideas guys.... i updated to the newest graphics card driver and this fixed it. Something must have become corrupted with the driver. Directx checked out fine which is what i thought it was to begin with but when i saw there was no problem with that i checked if there were updated grfx card drivers and there were so i tried that and it worked out fine.

Restore Date

PistolPete,
What do you do if XP can not find a Restore Date even though you have used the Restore option several times?
