How do you have your RPM sensor mounted on your vibe 90?

I'm using a Rev max, I jb welded the fiberglass mount to give me the length I needed to reach fan, I also ordered a metal fan from Diamond Heli with holes already drilled for magnets, mounted it all up and it works great! With the stock fan I would consider an optical sensor however I have heard mixed reviews on them but have never used one myself.

I'm just gonna drill the stock fan. I was going to try drilling the clutch bell but to much work.

Thats what I tried first too...Seemed to work okay but always had a vibration so I would'nt fly it, I finally figured it out(trial and error) and now its silky smooth.....
Good luck and be sure to balance everything.

Yep thats what i did. Mount the sensor, mark the magnet location, drill the hole and epoxy it in. Be sure its seated all the way in there or else its gonna fly out.
