QuickWorldWide Ep and Wet Fuel Helis > Q60 Question.

Just got a beautiful Q60 in a trade and I'm planning on disassembling to ensure locktite is in the right place and that everything is properly lubed. Since the head comes preassembled, what is the general consensus on tearing it down? (FWIW, I intend to upgrade the dampner o-rings too, so the head will be torn down somewhat.) I also intend on placing a Cspec in her. If a R60 can hold one, this thing surely can!

Thanks for the opinions.

Q60

If you aquired it in a trade then I would tear down the whole thing for piece of mind's sake. Upgrading the dampening is definetly a plus. The head comes apart pretty easily, just make sure that you only take apart one side at a time. If you are goning to put a cspec in it I would first check and see if the appropiate gearing is available. I belive that in a pinch the JR Ergo clutch bell and main gear will work.

I don't know alot, but I know what works for me!......................Memiors of a Schleprock.

Thanks Ts8103. I resolved to take it apart as you suggested. I was told the 11T Vigor/Ergo pinion will work without mod. I have one on the way, so we'll see if it fits. I know it fits a 5mm shaft, but I'm uncertian the JR pinion is threaded on one end to fit the clutch bell and if it is, if its threaded correctly. One thing is certain, this thing is built so well (seems overbuilt/heavy) I think it can use the extra power of the .91.

Thus ... ...., is the ergo pinion/ bell fits for quick 60?

If it matches I want to install ergo one in my quick.
because stock quick pinion does not stand right angle over the bell.... ....

does anybody have the same problem?

The Ergo/Vigor pinion has a different thread cut and will not work with the Q60 clutch bell. However, a Ergo/Vigor maingear does fit without mod and with a 10T Quick pinion and a 84T Ergo/Vigor maingear, the 8.4 ratio will work with the .91's.

HI Helibee , I also have a Quick 60 pro metal and have been thinking about shoehorning a 90 in it. I would love to hear how you get on with it. I think your right , if a raptor can handle the power of a 90 then this baby has no worries!!! Hope to hear from you soon.
