Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > RJX Extreme canopy on Pantera?

Does anyone have access to an RJX Extreme canopy they can try on the Pantera? A casual glance at the RJX in pictures suggests it has a chance.

Maybe we can walk around with someone's Pantera at IRCHA this weekend and just start trying on canopies we run across? I'd REALLY like to have some nice 'glass for my Panteras.

We need to find a couple of these for real. So far the only thing I have found that fits is a Raptor 60/90 canopy. Its technically too big but it does work. The pictures below are not a mockup. That is my Tiger with the Raptor 60/90 canopy attached it flies great with this canopy. I'd like to find something a little smaller yet stillfits. The RJX, at least in pictures looks like it has a shot. We need a volunteer Pantera and then a stop at the RJX booth or friendly RJX pilot who might let us carefully try his canopy.

Marty, if you are going to IRCHA, just stop by the RJX booth with your heli and ask Rusty if you can test a canopy on the Pantera.

I can test the X50 canopy on my tiger, my pantera1 is in a better place, and I think, I am going to sell my backup pantera (NIB). I just got a Xtreme 50

Yes, thats what I am thinking. What a great opportunity to see what fits. Even if the holes don't line up, as long as the size and shape looks good, we can move the holes!

how about the gohbee phazor canopy.?? It looks sharp. Still think the best looking one came in the box with rest of the heli though..

I actually like the mock-up RadioRob did of that Gohbee canopy but my intent is to find a good piece of glass to have painted. I'm not just looking for another piece of plastic. I have someone trying the RJX Extreme canopy on a Pantera and he promises to report back shortly. I hope he gives us more than a yes it fit or no it doesnt. If it doesnt, I'd like to know if it fits and looks correct from a mock-up standpoint. We can always move the mounting holes. Right now we are looking for a pleasing shape that is a good size to fit the airframe. It would be a godsend if it should happen to drop right on too. I'm not expected the latter.

No, I have two people who are both supposed to try the RJX Extreme canopy on either a Tiger or Pantera. I hope one of them comes through....soon!

It almost looks like some trimming would allow us to reach the back holes. Maybe not use the front holes at all and use a body clip like the Raptor. This is close enough that I'm going to order one. This looks very promising! I already have RJX's swashplate on my Pantera and have their metal washoutbase and arms coming, why not use their canopy too?!
