I'm very happy with my RF G3.5. G4 is probably even better, but for now, I'll stick with the G3.5.

I got a chance to try Phoenix at 3D Masters, and I just didn't like it. I don't know if it was bad adjusted, but...

I've also tried Reflex, and my impression is that it's a very challenging sim.

The Pheonix will work on your laptop, but slow. You need a good video card to handle the graphics.

I built a desktop PC and bought the G-Force 8800GTX video card, besides many other cool upgrades. I can run two 19"+ monitor and each monitor has it's own sim.

Yes, you read that right. I can run 2 different sim on one or two monitor configuration.

Lloyd im sure if you took your laptop in to your LHS they would allow you to try it surely ? its not like you can use it without the dongle

Pheonix works great on my laptop (Macbook pro)and I get silky smooth performance and solid FPS with all settings maxed. The only time I get any frame rate drop is on the levels with water. If I turn off the detailed shadowing then it's back up to full smooth.

I use G 3.5 on an Apple Mac Book which has 64MB of shared vide0 ram (def not what they recommend) and it works awesome.

I emailed them about the Logos. Apparently they have them in the works along with a large update which is why the updates and new model releases have slowed. No time frame was given though.

Got phoenix a while ago, works well on my laptop duo core ,no fancy graphics card and 512meg ram.
IMO this is the best sim of all, i have reflex but don't use it anymore, the interface on phoenix is soooo much more user friendly, the tail holds in rearward flight, almost impossible on reflex except with a lot of experimenting.
Lloyd you can try mine, you'll love it, they do need a couple of logo's and a sylphide as well as the stratus but at least they have 2 of my machines the rappie and the vibe.
What's nice is you take a pic of your heli's colour scheme on your cell and then transfer it to your model, voila you fly your own machine.
Yeah you can do it on reflex but much more hassle
All in all reflex may be a tad more difficult to fly which is not going to make you a better pilot as you will be to scared to try something that proves difficult on the sim, do'nt get me wrong phoenix is not easy but it does what a sim should do which is to help you with new manouvres without creating doubt in your mind.
Reflex is good phoenix exceptional, I never thought i would say this as i 've been a reflex fanatic. I'm not impressed with g 4
Also phoenix updates etc is also free.

Common sense may not be common after all

i have tried every sim, started out with G2 then G3, G4, (still have em) tried the reflex sold it after two months,i have the aero pro(up for sale now) tried the phoenix didnt care for it.
i picked up a FS one and the graphics are awesome using a 512 gforce video card hook it up to my 54 inch lcd monitor "wow".
they are on sale now at horizon for $99 bucks
its the best sim i have tried hands down, the scenes are real photos of flying fields, you have to have a good graphics card with this sim. dont really know why this sim really never took off.
