JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > How well do the Insane Canopies show up in the air?

For anyone who's ever flown or seen the bright orange and yellow canopies from Canopy FX, how do the Insane Canopy products stack up? I've got real issues with orientation when I don't have a bright canopy, and I've got a Vibe on the way.

Eury,
You need to get use to it. I order the one with the white in the button in that way I can see two colors, but if the helis goes away from you that will not help.
Just keep the Heli to a distant that you feel comfortable.
Years ago I had a problem with black blades and I'm not complaining any more. Looks like I got use to them

I think I'm going to end up skipping the IC stuff. I like to do mile high autos where it is just a dot, and after it falls about 30 seconds or so, I pick up the canopy, and when the blades stop, I need the altitude to get them spinning again. If it costs me a couple hundred feet of orientation, it could cost me the whole heli.

Thanks, after taking the Vbar off my 600, and flying my buddies Vibe and my Spectra, I decided I needed to make the change. I'm swapping over the stuff from the 600. All good stuff, 9451s, 53 Redline, MP5, 770 3d 8700g. It'll be here Wednesday, and I did end up buying the Insane Canopy that was in the classifieds. If it's too dark for me, I'll resell it and go another way.

Just need to go through the threads to look at how people are taking weight off it, may as well do those things as I build it. It'll be in the air by the weekend.

I will copy paste for you from previous post of mine, so probably it won’t make sense, but it has the info of what I did

I am using 600mm blades so I cut the boom and TT shaft 3cm so my CG is on front now; with that I could eliminate many components, I am using only the necessary, No horizontal fin, no plastic bevel gear cover, no plastic blade stopper as for example.
The important weight saving opportunity was found with the servo tray, gyro mount components etc.

I just need to doable check the distance I cut of the boom and TT in case you decide to go this way.

I have the info on my Office so it has to be tomorrow.

Don't worry about it, I'm not going to go that far, I like having a longer boom. I will do the rest of it though.

probably you will have problems with the CG if you plan to remove components from the front. (Battery and receiver tray, gyro mount etcetera)

But let us know haw it goes.

My CG is just a little on the back side, but I am using only the AR7100R.

We'll see what I come up with, I've got a nice light metal tail support clamp to eliminate the stock one along with the horizontal fin, a carbon vertical fin, and then I can leave off the tail box cover, head button, and see where I am for balance when I get it built. If it's nose heavy, I'll start working on the front. Wednesday is way too far away.
