What is the difference between the 607FS and 617FS Rx?
Apart from the extra channel, is the main difference between the 7 and 8 channel Rx the fact that the 8 is 2048?

The R607FS receiver outputs the channels in sequence. The R617FS groups the three cyclic channels together. Both these receivers are 10-bit (1024 steps of resolution).
The R608FS receiver is 11-bit, 2048 steps of resolution.

So, forgive my ignorance, but I assume the 617 is preferable over the 607 if you are using eCCPM?

With a 14mz can't you re-sequence functions and channels to accomplish the same thing?
Channel 1 Aileron Channel 2 Elevator Channel 3 Pitch
Balance of the channels for the other stuff?

Yes, you can do that. But this is not a good idea. With the 7 channel mode, only channel 3 (i.e throttle) has failsafe setting !

umm that's a good bit of trivia to know.
Thank you.
I guess I should RTFM more often.

But nothing stops you putting ail, ele, pitch on 4,5,6 and leaving the throttle on 3.
