okay i have the metioned combo and a 13t pioion, i will be using my tp2200 extreme packs. what should i limit my throttle to on my esc? right now with the stock align motor i am at 100-100-100 throttle. will i need to back it off?? 90-80-90????

I think you should be OK. I'm running the -8, with a 13t, on a Quark33a. I have the throttle curve at 100-100-100 in idle 2, and the headspead seems fine. The motors stays cool, but the battery and ESC are hot.
