I need some help badly I just finished putting together my piccobirda a Frankenstein CP Humma made mostly with upgrades. I balance the blades, level the swash plate, level the fly bar paddles and balance Switch everything on test servo’s bla bla bla...... Then I start to crank up the motor to test the control surfaces and discover when I pitch the swash plate forward it pitches diagonally forward and left. When I try to pitch backwards it pitches backwards/diagonally right. Likewise if I try to pitch left or right I get just as much forward or backwards movement from the entire rotor. All servos are wired and positioned correctly to the appropriate channel, I have some close ups of the machine in my gallery if this might assist anyone willing to help me.

I have worked so hard on this project and after reworking the motor mount for a brushless there is no turning back now. Again any help would really be appreciated.

Check your mixes, they might be on.
Your set up is not CCPM but the CCPM mix might be on.

Above post is correct. This is the standard Pro setup for SWSH1 settings. No need for mixing. The only other issue would be if the swash is binding. Make sure that you have the right Swash selected and that all of the mixing is turned off.

All of my mixing is turned off for sure, I have noticed somthing when all the swash plate balls are parralel to each other the fly bar is not parralel with the bars/balls below (is this normal). I wonder if it is possible to place those control arms linking the swash plate to the flybar upsidedown or reversed?

Can you post some close-up pictures with everything hooked up and all controls on center except (throttle/pitch).
Left side view, Front view, Right side view, Rear view, and a clearer view of the head at the best angle.
Thanks

Weird, I test flew the heli last night and it seemed to hover fine and slow forward flight was ok. Flew in the living room so could not get any speed up, strange I held it and I initially thought there is no way that is going to fly wright with the rotor head pitching to te left. Maybe the extra head speed required for takeoff fixed the problem? All seems well for now apart for a few problems with my CSM200, when I step up the throttle a bit

I will post more pictures tonight anyway, this mod was not quite as easy as I initially imagined there were a few problems during construction. And if I can help any1 wanting to CP their Humma I will be pleased.

I have spoken to a heli guru and found out why my blade tilt left, and it is completely normal apparently. I feel like a bit of a dork now.......

"Newton's first law of motion states that a body in motion continues to move at a constant speed along a straight line unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. So the top point on the gyroscope is acted on by the force applied to the axle and begins to move toward the left. It continues trying to move leftward because of Newton's first law of motion"

Good!
Although, you got me confused when you mentioned in your first post that the swashplate was tilting diagonally, I was thinking that you have a mixing problem...
Happy hovering!
