Just thought I would share my first rebuild with you guys. I am still trying to figure out how it happened. I was hovering quite steady and the it just seem to explode.

Blades hit the tail and the rest followed , lucky I was only about 2 foot of the ground. I think it was either the blade balljoint or the connecting rod must have come lose or broke. Does this happen ???????

Anyway rebuild now and even got some grp blades for tomorrow. Back in the air

That sucks doesn't it. You aren't doing anything, and the heli blows up. I have crashed three times, and two of them have been failures onboard. I did have the screw holding one of my swashplate ball links fall off... I too was in a hover about 5 feet off the ground. It just rolled hard, and piled. It happens, but get that bird back togethor, and burn some more gas.

Thanks, John Cadwell
