How do you guys fit the spring retainer for the hover needle? Is it suppose to go onto the needle and use the clicks on the carb body or is it suupose to go on the needle? My needle seems loose even after taking it out to bend the retainer slightly. Somehow the spring retainer just doesn't fit too good on the carb.

This is the correct way to do the needle retainer right?

Also, is the check valve suppose to be easily blown through? Mine is so so so difficult to blow through and only produce tiny bubbles when I blow air through it into water. Yes, I tried both sides and both seems equally hard but only the correct end gives a very very small amount of air to pass through, even if I blow really hard. Normal? Abnormal?

IIRC, I put one "clicker" on the carb body, and the other on the needle, using the detents on the carb. Make it impossible to get the two swapped if you ever take them out as well. Never had a bit of trouble with anything being loose.

The check valve is very hard to blow through. That's normal.
