Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > RAPTOR 30 Raptor 30 V1 Os 37 Flight time

Hi Guys,

I recently upgraded my Raptor 30 with os32 to os37.
Now I am getting ridiculously low flight times, averaging 4-6 mins.
I am only hovering and doing slow circuits & figure eights.
Am I doing something wrong?

The main needle is out about 1.2 turns and I am running 10% nitro/18% oil.
Exhaust system is a Genesis 30 manifold and pipe.
Head speed is about 1550-1600 and runs and sounds real nice, just drinking fuel.

Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

Wow that is short flights.

I think you are rich how is the power and heat at.

My gues is you should be getting 10 minute flights.

I get 12 minutes on my Raptor 60 with OS70... I know 550cc fuel tank but still you should get longer flight times.

Keep your eyes in the sky I might be Flying Yeeeeeh!!!!

Hi Storman,

Power is way better then the os32 and it runs very warm but not hot.
I have only a gallon through the engine so far but it is very possible that I am still running it too rich.
I just don't want to run the main needle leaner than 1 turn without getting advice first.

No RaptorMan 4 - 6 minutes is NOT decent.

liljalepeno are you sure the main needle is out about 1.2 turns out. That about where mine is set and I get about 15 minutes although that's also with a header tank.
You might check and make sure you don't have a fuel leak. Sometimes the Raptor tank developed a leak along one of the seems when the tank is pressurised.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Hey guys, sorry for the deal.
I have checked the fuel system and all is good. No leaks and all clean connections.
Pressure test was good too so I think I might just be on the rich side.
I'm gonna fly tomorrow and lean it off a few clicks and see what happens.
I'll let you guys know the results.

I have a V1 with an OS37 and set my flight timer 6:30. I don't "top off" my main tank and I can actually fly another 1:00 to 1:30 just starting to invade my header tank. The original V1 tank is ALOT smaller than my V2.
