Will the 9151 servos work well for a Fury CCPM set up? I am thinking about getting them and would like some opinions on whether you guys think they would work well or not for all around flying.

They seem to spec with great torque and decent speed. Have the plastic gear set which is good......

My 2 cents,

for a eCCPM heli, 3 servo's share the load of moving the swashplate fore and aft, left and right. Of course the 3x9151 will work, but at .19 speed, I think you'll have a better heli using 3x9252 at .14 speed.

On traditional mechanical mixing models, a 9151 is desired on the collective pitch since the (pitch) load is all placed on 1 servo instead of 3 and the high torque 9151 is a good solution where it will make more sense even at the cost of slower speed.

Good luck.

The servos will work beautifully. I base this statement on several facts. First, we all know that 9202's work well in a Fury. 9151's are faster than the 9202. Gordie Meade has said many times that his 9204 are fine in his Fury, and the 9151 has the same transit time as the 9204. MA had 9204's in the factory demo model for over a year. On top of all of this, you add in the superior matching, holding power, and centering of a digital servo (the 9151). The 9151 can also be had for a nice price, some 30-40$ less than a 9252 in the US.

A top level 3D pilot will require the fastest transit time possible for certainly maneuvers which demand large collective changes in very small amounts of time. If that designation applies to you, get the 9252's. Otherwise...............

if you choose the 9151 servo, I'll bet you'll be satisfied.

I use 9151s (131.9 oz./in., 0.19 sec/60°) on two of my Furys and love them. I also have 8411s (155 oz./in., 0.16 sec/60°) on another Fury. I fly hard 3D and haven't seen any difference between them. They're both fast enough for even the fastest piroflip cyclics you can do.
I do like the fact that their gears are stronger and less prone to damage due to high loads but as far a speed I think we're splitting hairs here.

That is kind of what I was thinking too. A bit cheaper than the 9252, great specs, and the little diff is speed I didn't think would make any real difference except for the most discriminating of pilots. I sure probably won't notice.

Just think, saving about $35 a servo x 4 that is 4 gallons of fuel that WILL make a noticable difference in how I fly. I have always been a firm believer that the best upgrade you can buy is more fuel. It is the one thing that will make you fly better. Practice, practice, practice.....

Thanks for the input, I have been out of the hobby for a few years. I am now getting back into it and am trying to catch up on the latest things going on.

I'm sure everything that has been said is wholly correct. But while the 9151's may be substantially cheaper in the US, that may not be as much the case in your area?

I have seen the 9151 and 9252 for the same price at cyberheli, so you may want to shop around and compare the prices before you make the final decision.
