| Hi All, I was wondering how all of you are measuring your cyclic pitch on your rappys, and if What ZI am doing is correct. Using a regualr pitch gage, I am trying to measure my cyclic in all 4 stick quadrant points. I.E. full left stick, right stick, up elevator, down elvevator. I am assuming the max pitch of the blad occures 90 degrees before high side ( for example , max pitch deflection for full right roll would be leading blade paralell with boom) - in any case, I am trying to measure this using a regualr pitch gage. I am also doing my best to make sure flybar is perpendicular to main shaft. Does this method work? - if not, can someone steer me to a better way?
Also, I am running a set of 710 CF blades, YS 91 SR (long stroke), Hatori 19FH pipe with 8.27 gearing. I am intermediate in skill, just starting to have fun flipping it all over the place. I Was wondering what head speeds are working well for poeple. I am still breaking in the engine, but will install a GV-1 once I get carb settings nailed down. I see others using 1950 , but at my gearing of 8.27, that means engine will be running 16,125RPM. I can't get any info on what optimal RPM is for this combo, so I am curious as to what head speeds people are using
Finally, given the difficulty we are all experiencing on getting 30% nitro heli fuel, any opinions on running 15% on my above combo? - I am breaking the motor in on this fuel, and am fully aware of nitro content vs. top end rpm connection, but I am wondering if I should stay with 15% even after the olympics are over and the China nitro plants open again? - cost is not a huge factor, but it might start to be if the 30% fuel has a big price increase as I am hearing rumors about
Thanks to all for your responses in advance
Joe
