If you put a longer boom and belt on a 30, you will have a 30 with a longer boom and belt.
(no other issues )

I got a chuckle out of that!

Sometimes its a good idea to upgrade a little at a time. Especially after a crash. I have a 30v2 and a 50se and my 30 doesn't get much air time anymore since I started flying the 50. Although my 50 is down right now from and exploded clutch bell and other damaged parts, I have my 30 to fall back on. If I ever crash the 30, I'll definately lean towards making it a 50 so I will have (2) 50's. I have just about outgrown the 30, although it is a very reliable heli!

Don't forget the longer struts and tail control rod.

forgot about those thanks. What is the difference with putting the tail servo on the boom compare to having the servo in the front?

Servo on boom pro: Slightly tighter tail control and some bling factor (people think it is cool)
Servo on boom cons: Constant oil bath. Servo in high crash damage area. Servo weight shifts CG aft

Servo in stock location pro: Servo protected under canopy from oil, wire routing issues, most crash damage. Servo weight in proper location to hit CG.

Servo in stock location con: Lose ability to show off your mad mod skillz

Bottom line is the servo is better off up front. By a large margin.

Put the servo up front, make sure the linkage is as free as you can get it. Put the longer boom and belt on and CRASH, REBUILD, REPEAT!

Though I don't have experience with it myself (have not yet replaced my R30 boom) I did see someone here a while ago said the longer supports are not necessarily required, though if you are really pounding the thing it may help keep the tail directly behind everything else like it should. Then again, supports are cheap.

personaly i would go one step further and get the titan boom and belt as if or when u are ready to fully upgrade it to a 50 size u will have the option of using 620 blades

I thought my tail servo looked cool out the back of my titan untill i started learning inverted hovering and its now covered in oil big time. I wish i now had it under the canopy up front.

If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

I agree with the Titan boom and belt, I used a conversion kit but now wish I had just bought the necessary parts and the longer boom. Even if you never run 620s the longer boom gives better control by virtue of a longer moment arm. And yeah, keep the servo up front.

Do the scale fuselages use the 50v2 booms or the titan booms?

the md 530 is made for the titan boom but you can cut about an inch off the end of the tail boom to make a normal 50 boom fit
