Radio - Futaba FASST > SHOULD I CONVERT MY 9ZHP TO 2.4 MGH OR BUY THE 10C

Been looking into upgrading my 9ZHP radio to the 2.4GHZ or selling it and buying the 10c. Is the software that much better than the 9Z,I've looked at a 10c briefly and found it to be cheaply made of plactic compared to the 9Z and other radios. I well used to my 9 but just want a few opinions....Chuck

I went from 9ZWC2 to 12FG. Case is a little less solid than the 9Z, but the radio software rocks.
I think a 10C is an awesome upgrade to the 9C Super, based on what I have seen of the functions.
9Z was pretty much the high end, and 12FG or 12Z seems a bit more comparable

I have a 14mz (love it)
But I also have two 9z's on 2.4
They are great as well.
I use the 9z's on my AP stuff as I do not want to get the 14mz damaged from everyday use.
The 9z with the TM-7 has been perfect since the modules came out.
I would get the TM-8 if it had been available at the time though.
Hope this helps.

The 9Z actually has more complex software than a 10C, but its user interface is more difficult to master. You can't easily compare case construction quality details, because the 9Z never sold for less than $900, even when it was first released close to TWENTY years ago. Imagine that............a nearly twenty year old software package that JR still struggles to match, but I digress. The 10C is very fast WRT latency. If you can swing the $$, get the 10C. If you are flying eCCPM models, remember that the 10C lacks eCCPM compensation mixers found in the 12FG.

I have an 9ZHP WC2. I got it from a friend and I was planning on selling it but now I am considering to buy TM-8 module and convert it to 2.4
Yes, it is old but I think the software in it can still do lot more than what 10C does. So I agree with the comment above. 10C is a good replacement for 9C NOT for 9Z which requires to be compared to 12Z or FG

My question is: How will using TM-8 module effect the response speed?
Will it get any faster(comparing to 72mHz) by any chance?
