Hi all,

I'm a relative newbie with a TREX 600N with OS50 Hyper & Futaba T7C 2.4gig radio: Here's the thing. If i set up the throttle curve as 0-25-50-75-100 i get a rediculous head speed! In fact to get something stable to fly i use 0-12-25-35-50. Even this gives a high head speed.

Is this cause I'm new to heli's, or is this normal??? Have i the engine too rich?

Currently i'm still practicing hovering side in, head in etc. and i'm thinking of moving on to FF soon. Thanks for any help you can offer

The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Your values are likely jacked because your throttle linkage isn't set up properly, thats my best guess.

That, and probably a combination with your pitch curve.

For all I or anyone else knows, your head speed could be fine, as in what is too fast for you might not be too fast for me.

"too rich"
Your logic is backwards. Turning the needle in leans the motor, making more power (faster head) to a point.

Turning the needle out will richen the engine, and you should see a drop in Head speed.

What I would do if I were you:

Turn your helicopter over to an experienced pilot. Have him set it up for you, Fly a few tanks through it, dial it in, and turn it over to you. Make sure you have him explain to you what he did to set it up.
Have him tach your headspeed as well.

The kind of help you're asking for here, isn't the sort of help that can be given practically on a forum. It needs to be given 1 on 1, so the guy helping you can see and operate your equipment.
