Hey Century,

What's in the works? I haven't heard about any new products through the grapevines and haven't seen much from you guys either. Surely you have been working on something all this. What's the status on the Freestyle? Is there a new 50 size in the works? So many of the big contenders are coming out with new machines, just wondering what Century is doing to keep up. I always like to see new products.

The only thing i can tell you about (without permission) is the 50nx, Very nice model, and the frames are in production. 3mm pushrods, new CCPM setup, new canopy, etc etc. frames made from G10

Ok, that's good to know. I'm more interested in when than what to be quite honest. I just want to see something new from Century.

And when will that be? What about pricing? Truth be told, I like my Raven, but I'm thinking about getting rid of it simply for something new (been with this machine for like 7 years now, from Falcon to Raven).

For those of us in the "nitro" heli area, it may seem that not to much has happened, but if you have been into the larger electrics and in the forums that cater to this group of enthusiastic flyers, you will have seen a number of new Century products launched in the past couple of years.

The Swift 16 with various power combinations from 4 to 6 cell lipos, the Swift C/F 550SE with various power combinations from 5 to 6 cells, the Swift C/F620SE with more power combinations from 8 to 10 cells. During that time, they have also launched a complete line of bling from full CNC main rotor heads or parts therof, to CNC swashplates to CNC tail rotor cases etc.

Also ready for launch is a basic trainer RTF Swift with a 2.4G radio system - just charge and fly out of the box. Though to us 50 nitro flyers it may look like they have been rather dorment, they certainly have not. They have even shown a new 700 (90 size) at this years trade shows, that is in the works.

For me personally I have been having a lot of fun learning about this area and flying them (Probably fly my various Swifts as much as my Raven & Hawk - maybe more)

Now that these electric heli projects have all been successfully launched, I understand they have now turn their R&D efforts back to the nitro arena.

So hoefully we will see the results later this summer or early fall.

Excellent points oldfart, I completely neglected the electric side. Still, I want to see something new. I hope they come out with something soon though, I'm getting tempted to sell my Raven and dropping the electronics into a 700N. However, if they come out with a 50 I like, I'll gladly put the electronics in there (as well as the engine).

bulldog,,,

as I understand,, the 50NX is a Raven with Carbon Frames and a new control system with deferent Servo Mounting, the NX servo mounting is the same as the Hawk Pro's with different Bellcrack placment, but the NX remains a Eccpm control system (whereby the Hawk is Mccpm),, I believe the NX will come with an ALL metal head..

they should just call it the Raven NX..

this new control system "with shorter Servo Arms and short Bellcranks" will allow a Pilot to raise his Tx Cyclic settings in the Swash Mix window, the result should be a better/smoother more positive feel or a more in-control feel on the Cyclic Stick,,

and as I would think, with the Carbon Frames the NX should be a bit ligher with a bit higher CG so one would think it should "should" flip and roll tighter and quicker,, a plus..
