| For those of us in the "nitro" heli area, it may seem that not to much has happened, but if you have been into the larger electrics and in the forums that cater to this group of enthusiastic flyers, you will have seen a number of new Century products launched in the past couple of years.
The Swift 16 with various power combinations from 4 to 6 cell lipos, the Swift C/F 550SE with various power combinations from 5 to 6 cells, the Swift C/F620SE with more power combinations from 8 to 10 cells. During that time, they have also launched a complete line of bling from full CNC main rotor heads or parts therof, to CNC swashplates to CNC tail rotor cases etc.
Also ready for launch is a basic trainer RTF Swift with a 2.4G radio system - just charge and fly out of the box. Though to us 50 nitro flyers it may look like they have been rather dorment, they certainly have not. They have even shown a new 700 (90 size) at this years trade shows, that is in the works.
For me personally I have been having a lot of fun learning about this area and flying them (Probably fly my various Swifts as much as my Raven & Hawk - maybe more)
Now that these electric heli projects have all been successfully launched, I understand they have now turn their R&D efforts back to the nitro arena.
So hoefully we will see the results later this summer or early fall. |
