Scale Model RC Helicopters > Multi blade head issue

I have an older century 4 blade head on my A109 that works great with ergo mechanics,I also have a second 4 blade with 600mm blades that I have been trying to use on my 500E with the Trex600E mechanics but there is an issue that I can not figure out. I can get the heli into hover but if I input any cyclic input it is as though there is a gyro effect therefore the heli makes a very drastic move. Any idea's what the issue is? The heli flies fine with the stock trex head.

hmmmmmmm, it is possible that you just need to reduce the throws on your cyclic controls. ort a little expo so it is slow in the center. also, some blades that were designed for flybarred heads do quite well on a flybarless system, SOME BLADES. the others? well that may also be your issue here.

Ok, but its confusing because I dont have an issue with the ergo mechanics.

okay, same blades as well as the head? maybe going over everything from the begining may reveal the culprit. sometimes the simplest things get ya. what about servos? difference in speed, torque? shouldnt cause any problems but i am clutching to a straw now.
how about posting a pic or two. maybe that will help.

Do you have the phasing set properly?

As copterdoctor said, try lower the d/r on the cyclic servos. I had the same issue on my multi blade rex 450. Also make sure the head speed is not too high.

My headspeed is on the high side, so I will start with that and check all the things you guys mentioned. Thanks to all, I will give an update once I am done.

one issue solved, headspeed was too high,I no longer have the drastic movement in the cyclic.

good deal although i have never had cyclic response change so drastically with change in headspeed. something new learned for future reference. thanks for sharing. have some fun with it now.
