Story behind my user name:
I've been flying helis now for ten years. First chopper concept 30 SE
Second chopper X-cell 60 Third chopper - x-cell sparing maneuver practicing Raptor 30. Last weekend I decided to try flying heading hold for the first time (switch on gyro - my mistake). I went into a stall, tail didn't track behind. My buddy, also a runryder member and standing next to me, could not figure out what this Raptor was doing. Either could I. Miraculously, not once but twice, I recovered the helicopter from hitting the ground at a high rate of speed. We are talking about no more than 2 feet from the ground. All within seconds. That is my story and I will always stick with it.
Hello everyone! Happy Hovering.
Sincerely,
Myrcleflyer.

I have been flying for about 15 years. I started with a Concept 30DX and a airtronics mechanical gyro, both of which I still fly, and I havnt used a HH gyro yet either and yours is the exact reason I am hesitant about it. I'm so used to flying the tail that I think my first try may be very expensive. I have a JR GY450 non HH on my PHI Hurricane and it does just fine. I suppose when I decide to do some more serious 3D I'll give the HH a try.

Hmmm - I thought "flying the tail" meant using HH gyro and having to input all controls for the tail as it will remain stationary without input... I am probably using the wrong term here and looking silly to other more experienced flyers...
