Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > white noise for more stability

What's the verdict on adding white noise to cyclic servos to improve stability? Flybarless was working on the Trex 450 using a fairly high gain. Then removed noise from the PWM and the cyclic started entering oscillations at the high gain. At a much lower gain, it doesn't have oscillations but is now very unstable.

White noise appears to have stabilized it but reduced the servo life since these servos are burning out after 35 hours.

You're probably right. I think you need a nicer avionics mount!

Rhett... I can't fly, luckily the HC Profi Can!

If you're in so cal, I'll build you an avionics mount, if you let me borrow the avionics pm me !

The answer is it doesn't improve stability. Got all the way up to switching white noise in & out, proving that it didn't offer any stabilization. The best explanation is the noisy PWM module had a shorter update latency by up to 40ms.
