This is interesting...... Reading all the replies from my previous post on this subject (and learning that the Version 2 Hubs have the silver coloring in the bolt hole), I decided that I would rather replace the hub now (while I am replacing the V1 arms and gears). I decided to order a new hub from Heliproz. The hub I got in the mail did not have the silver coloring. I called Heliproz and explained what I had learned about the silver coloring in the V2 hubs. They checked their stock and some of their hubs had the silver and others did not. Also, today I drove over an hour to a not-so-local hobby shop. The hubs they had in stock also did not have the silver coloring. Is there a chance that the silver is not being put on all the new/corrected/V2 hubs ? ? or is ACE doing a pathetic job in recalling all the bad hubs that are still out there. Bob

hmmm... good question.

I do know for a fact that when the V2 parts were initially released there were written instructions regarding the V2 rotor head having silver paint on the bolt hole.

Like you, I wonder if they're still are painting the heads. It seems they would keeping painting them to prevent any confusion.

Main Hub

I've had a few conversations with Ace on this ubject of "how do we modelers know what the upgrades are and are not". The answer everytime on the main hub is that the V2 versions are ALL painted with a silver ring on the center hole. If not then it's a V1 part. Ask them yourself if you can get through.
