I have a Neu 1515 2y motor in a Logo10. Its flying well, and not heating up at all.
I just want to know if the shaft is suppose to turn quite easily by hand when not in use. The shaft on this motor turns in either direction by hand, not sure if this is good or not?
Can any one offer up anything
Thanks
Curtis

Yes they spin very easily when not powered. It's a high Kv inrunner with a very low Io.
You don't mean the spindle floats back-and-forth do you? That's a common problem with them. Mine did that but I thought it was normal - never caused a problem.

CAM, Thanks very much, that puts my mind at ease. No the spindle doesnt move back-and-forth, just easy to turn by hand, thats all.
Thanks again

Check the condition of the bearing by rocking the shaft laterally. It should have zero play as it is new. But, do rock it after each day's flying to be sure it stays that way. If you have a detectable rock back and forth, front bearing is going.
