| Check the red tail pulley gear for wear. When my tail started letting go, it turned out to be that gear's teeth wearing down and the belt slipping on that pulley.
Also, if you have recently put the tail back together, it is possible that upon reassembly the same belt has been installed in the 'reverse' orientation. I'm not talking about a wrong twist. The belt runs in one direction normally and wears the belt teeth in this orientation. Upon reassemly, it is possible to install the belt so that it runs wearing the 'other' side of the teeth. |
