Scale Model RC Helicopters > seaking fuselage build

after following rotor georges thread, hes inspired me to start making my seaking. ive made it in the same way as george but in the uk here i havnt been able to get hold of blue foam. a couple of places sell it but will only deliver/sell it in a pack, over £100s worth. anyway, the next best thing ive found was polyfoam from B & Q.
its a bit harder to sand so cut most of the excess off with a hot wire cutter, and with the aid of a belt sander. this has caused the need for a bit of filler in some places but its the best its going to get i suppose without the blue foam.

A different approach - and that foam looks hard !

Did you manage to find drawings of the bulkhead stations, to get your formers the correct shape, or are you just sculpting "freeform" ?

I have some good closeup photos of a 22sqn SAR seaking if you need to see details etc, one advantage of living 2 miles from a local SAR.

Seems to me that ALL heli's beat the air into submission

sparkyman, i couldnt find any drawings anywere. so eventually i bought a 1/72 scale kit, enlarged the plan views and scaled it up from that and had to draw/cut out the formers just from these pictures.
