HIROBO Freya - Sceadu - Shuttle > Suggested servos for Freya- sportflying only.

Good afternoon,

As title says I am putting together a Freya, which I'll fly for sport only. No 3d. I do loops, rolls, stalls turns and inverted hovering.

I'd like to buy "inexpensive" servos that will work for my purposes. I'm on a budget and looking for some helpful suggestions. I have a Futaba 7c. I've looked at some Hi-Tec and Futaba models. I have 3151's in my Evo and they are fine for me.

Thanks a lot.

Christian.

JR 8231's work quite nicely for general flying . . .

The more I touch electrics, the more I grow to hate them . . . .

9252's can be had for good prices. 9202's are pokey but dead reliable. Try to get a servo with double BB's on the output shaft. Regardless of your flying style, a big model is still a big model, and the servos need to be appropriately up to the task to ensure reasonable longevity of them and the model. You don't need a crack pack, but you don't want a $40 servo, even a digital one, which is little more thaan an economy plank servo.
