MarkC,

All I can say is........

Douglas,

We are currently using the Align 35X speed control with the Scorpion 6 and we are using Flightpower 2100 3s packs. Works out pretty nice!

As for the different lengths of paddles, yes they are different for how aggressive they fly. But oddly enough the longer paddles are faster than the shorter paddles. The good thing is the kit will come with both sets. So you guys can decide which set you like on your own.

The Stubz and Radix tail blades will NOT be in the kit, they are indeed upgrades for all helis in the 450 size class. And should be hitting stores real soon.

Cool!

You sure the Rave doesn't reject the Align product?

I know Curtis still preffers the 4s setup, but mine is still 3s for now. I have yet to try the 4s setup actually but from what I have seen it looks pretty awesome. I hope to give it a try very soon! But the 3s setup is still plenty potent for me.

OK, let me see if I have this right.

4S will get you more voltage which = more power.

4S will use less current because of the higher voltage, so it will be easier on the battery.

I assume you have to use a different (lower rpm/v) motor with the 4S?

Will the 4S have a shorter run time?

I used to think I had a handle on 3S, 4S, 5S, etc, until that tiiny 6S Outrage came out. That package is really confusing me!

Thanks.

4S in same capacity will give you more runtime but because of weight you usually run a smaller capacity say 1800 mah 4s instead of 2200 3s giving you similar run times to 3S but with more power and not working the packs as hard.

The Scorpion HK2221-10 is designed for use in 450 sized heli's on 4S

Looking forward to seeing how this heli flys I plan to fly 4S with 350mm blades yummy

Guys we just arrived at IRCHA today so we have been a little out of pocket for the last few days getting ready for this event. This is why we have not responded. I am sure there will be an update very soon. I will ask Curtis about it tomorrow morning. Not sure when I will have a chance to get back to you, but rest assured I will do whatever I can to get you guys some type of update.

We did release 10 kits to the public and a hand full to sponsored pilots to determine if there might be issues before a full on run. More are comming as soon as any issues are addressed. Better 10 or so that 2000 we kind of thought. We certainly hope everyone understands.
