I'd like to see some vids of this heli flying around. The ads were to showy, I'd like to see real world vids.

Any out there?

I'd rather be flying

All of us that were at May Day got to see a real show of how well the Rave flies. Curtis and Jamie Robertson flew together and really spanked those two Raves. The link to the video is in the previous post.

At this point we do not want to say the kit will be out on "X" date. Mainly because we do not want to miss that "X" date and then let all of you guys down that were depending on that date. There are any number of small details that can post-pon a release date. So at this point we are close, but until we have it 100% done there is no way to say when it will be 100% done. A projected date would be a guess, and Curtis has already stated he doesn't want to give a projected date just to have us miss that date. Beleive me when I say, we want it out just as much as you guys do.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Why call it a "cross shaft" instead of simply spindle?

Jonathon,

No that crash was not on purpose. Curtis wanted to go behind the sign on the fence while doing chaos. Bad thing was he didn't realize there was a bush behind the sign he couldn't see. So needless to say he hit the bush. Cool thing was it didn't hurt the machine that bad at all. The second Rave that Jamie was flying actually landed just fine, the battery was loosing juice rapidly is why he landed when he did. All in all it was a very cool flight to see.

As for the "Cross Shaft" V "Spindle" situation, that is a Curtis term. Thats what he wanted to call it, so thats what we called it. Fit and finish are the same.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Why different length sizes of paddles? Is this a weight thing for sport flyers versus 3D pilots? Also I assume the CF tail blades and mini Stubz will be upgrades and not included in kit, is this correct?

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

carbon blades/paddles are upgrades not included in kit

plastic paddles in 2 different sizes im guessing is longer for sport and shorter for 3d

So Brian... Why didn't Curtis stick with some of his previous naming conventions and call it a "Curtis Muscle Shaft" ?

Betcha that'd pull up some really fun pages on the Google search engine!
