I’m using an ATG on my Vibe. The governor only came with one magnet. Can I just fill the other hole in the clutch with JB Weld to help balance or should I get another magnet to fill the hole?

I have been getting an intermittent vibration in the left boom support (left when viewed from the back) and I’m thinking this may be the reason?? Even if it's not the hole should probably get filled anyway. Has anyone else seen their left boom support vibrate?

i would not add a magnet but i would add some type of wieght to correct the balance. the atg will not like an additional magnet.

The sensors on the ATG are directional, so as long as you flip the second magnet over, the ATG should not see it at all . . .

I was just going to fill it with JB Weld since it only came with one magnet.

i glued a little plump piece (same measurements as magnet) into the hole, should be cheaper than another magnet.

What ratio are you guys using? I looked in the manual, and 8.7 is not there

Take off's are always optional, but landings are MANDITORY!

Just melt some solder and put some epoxy on top. That will work.

I have G-View and you can set 8.7 by reading the screen. Without it, you can count the number of button press between 8.5 (2 green) and 8.8 (1 red).

According to Jarret at CY you can't set the ATG to 8.7 without the G-View. He told me to set it for 8.8 and 50 RPM lower. You will have to tach it to make sure. I ended up getting the G-View so I could set it for the right ratio. I have 2 Solid G gyros anyway so it was worth it.

Thanks guys! I bought all 3, ATG Solid G and G view. I just got confused with reading about it. Wont start the build for another week as I am bringing it home from work first.

Hate to change subject, but witch is more recomended for the Sloid G, 9256 or a 8900? Have not made up my mind yet. Heard some have had problems with the 8900 on the vibe with the Solid G.

I have the Solid G/JR8900 combo in my Vibe 50 and EVO 50. No problems here.

Hi guys:

Can I check what is the RPM you guys are running on the ATG? And what mode are you running: Normal or Multi mode?

Cheers.

Check the fan for balance, just because you put 2 magnets in doesnt mean it will be balanced. Mine was not in balance with or without the magnets in.
