Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N Build quality of the Align Trex 700 Nitro

Just wanted to be on record as saying that this is the easiest 90 size ship i have ever put together. I have built everything from micro's to 90's (look at my gallery) including raptors to vmax's and a synergy n9 and nothing has ever built as nice as this.

Im spevifically talking about how well everything is machined and how well it fits together without issues. This is a build for dummies. Really amazing how Align has dumbed down the build process. (not sure thats a good thing in the end) but im still loving it.

I do have some concerns about long term wear and tear on some of the parts since i would have used beefier materials in certain places and higher quality in other places but how it holds up is something which remains to be seen. And i withold comments for now about that until ive put some hours on it and can see first hand how it holds up.

As far as how everything fits together and ease of build, Im once again blown away. The bar has once again been raised by align in terms of "plug n play" builds. I cant think of a better "first 90 size" ship to buy and for anyone tired of complicated builds, expensive replacement parts, and **** that doesnt fit like it should -well... you are gonna love this kit as well!

Now lets see how it flies and how it holds up in the long term. More Reports to follow.

Color me provisionally, conditionally, and initially very impressed...

first flight today.... really dumb mistake tho... dont build until 2am... i somehow skipped adding blue loctite on ONE ball link in the head and in the first test hover while setting up headspeed/governor it friggin' backed out. It was one of the links to pitch control for the main blade. Major woof... hit throttle hold immediately and set it down. No damage but then i didnt trust the rest of the head since i did the whole thing quite late at nite. It was also getting dark so i decided to take it home and im gonna double check the whole head before i fly it again.

The tiny bit it flew before the link popped off... i could tell its gonna be fun! very light in the air. Mine comes in at 4.4 kg unfueled.

First REAL flight today after getting everything mostly dialed in and flying the way i like my machines to feel.

Excellent flier. Mostly very happy with it. There are a few oddities which make it a bit hard to say yet how it compares to other 90's ive flown but i think those can be attributed to my spektrum module in a 14mz. Once i switch to FASST i expect these issues to also be gone. I have the feeling that my synergy flew a bit better but again that may just be because of the swash oddities introduced when using the spektrum 14mz module with a eccpm mixed model. Gonna have to wait to see on that.

Overall im very happy with it and its gonna be a fun machine and you cant beat the price. Buy-in, repair, maintenance etc... its all very very low cost and high quality compared to the alternatives. Im a happy camper!

One amazing heli. As you mentioned, the machining is top notch. I almost dare say Hirobo level quality. There I said it.

Wait till you put some more flights on it.

Fly non-stop till your brain fizzles !
