| Couple things you can do - if it's not too tight you can take some sand paper to the liner and remove a little bit of it to free things up. With it being as tight as yours sounds though, that could take some time. You could take a dremel with a sanding tip and work your way around the liner. This would remove more material - you don't want to remove too much, just enough so that that clutch bell will spin freely. A third option, and the one I would use(though I'm sure there will be some who speak adamantly against this) is to start the engine keeping the head from spinning by hold the blade grips tightly. Then bump up the throttle on the radio while still holding the blades grips tightly so that the clutch spins inside the bell. That will burn away some of the clutch material. Do that several times until the clutch does not engage when the engine is idling (or until it just barely engages). |
